We’re very happy to welcome Hedda Grevle Ottesen as our curator in residence for summer 2025!

Hedda is a curator, writer, and artist based in Oslo. Since 2022, she has been curator at the non-profit, artist-run gallery Podium, and is also behind the nomadic exhibition project Oslo City (2020–2024) and the moving image-focused gallery K4 (since 2020). From 2015–2019, she ran the platform After School Special at Landmark, Bergen Kunsthall. Ottesen has worked extensively both in Norway and internationally, with past residencies at Cité des Arts (Paris) and Arv.international (Bulgaria). At GRAC, she is gathering a group of artists she has long collaborated with – from both Oslo and Sørlandet – to develop a new project for an exhibition in our Garden showroom.

Hedda will stay and work at Odderøya lighthouse, and will also contribute to our programs Grim Forum and Grim Kontakt, offering a public talk and studio visits for local artists.

To kick off the residency, we’re hosting a small gathering on Sunday, May 26.

The residency is made possible with support from Kristiansand kommune, Agder fylkeskommune, Cultiva, and Kulturdirektoratet.
