Spatial Ops performance and exhibition

We are very happy and proud that Spatial Operations were our artists in residence during late summer 2025. The performance group lived and worked with us at Odderøya lighthouse for two weeks, confluding their stay with both a performance and an exhibition in Kristiansand.

The exhibition Strandhogg took place at the artist driven gallery Palass at Odderøya, alongside a unique and place specific performance on the neighbouring island Dybingen, where the audience follows the event from Vestre Batteri across the water - with binoculars and radio communication as part of the experience.

Spatial Operations work in the intersection of performance, sculpture and landscape. Drawing on military practice, they translate it into their own artistic language through formations, movement and dialogue with terrain.
